Department: Foundry – Melting Position: Melting Shift Supervisor Experience: 2–3 Years in Foundry / Melting Operations Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Location: Wai Maharashtra Salary: ₹25000 – ₹30000 per month
### Key Responsibilities
- Handle and supervise furnace melting operations during the shift.
- Manage pouring operations as per production and quality requirements.
- Monitor furnace temperature, melting cycle and material charging.
- Ensure proper handling of molten metal and pouring activities.
- Supervise shift manpower and allocate work effectively.
- Monitor production, rejection and quality during the shift.
- Maintain proper safety and PPE practices in the melting area.
- Prepare daily production, melting, pouring and shift reports .
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Production departments.
- Ensure housekeeping and 5S in the melting area.
- Identify process issues and take immediate corrective action.
- Ensure smooth shift handover with proper reporting.
Required Skills
- Practical / hands-on knowledge of foundry melting and pouring operations .
- Basic knowledge of furnace operation and molten metal handling.
- Good manpower handling and shift management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for report making and data entry .
- Knowledge of safety, quality and production control.
