Job Summary
The Reports Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, validating, and presenting business data to support operational and management decision-making. The role involves preparing regular and ad hoc reports, maintaining data accuracy, identifying trends and insights, and collaborating with different departments to ensure timely and reliable reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports based on business requirements.
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from various sources and systems.
- Validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency before reports are released.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, spreadsheets, and reporting templates.
- Generate ad hoc reports and data analyses requested by management and business stakeholders.
- Automate recurring reports and improve reporting processes where possible.
- Maintain organized reporting files, databases, and documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to clarify data requirements and resolve discrepancies.
- Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Support management in preparing presentations and business performance summaries.
- Ensure reports are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of business and employee information.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, business analysis, operations, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, and data manipulation.
- Experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
