About this role

We are currently seeking to employ a qualified candidate for the position of Renewable Engineer for Technical Services under Renewables, Energy Systems to be based in Dubai, UAE.

As part of DNV’s Renewables in Dubai and the Renewables department in the SEMELA region, the Candidate will work along with other technical professionals in the Energy Systems group to provide technical consulting services and support business development activities. The Candidate will have the opportunity to learn technical aspects of the solar PV, BESS and wind plants by being involved in some projects. The role also has elements of business development, marketing and sales supporting responsibilities. This includes working cohesively within the department to support proposal preparation. Candidate is also expected to support formatting word documents and prepare power points / presentations.

This role, reporting to the Renewables Team Lead Middle East in Dubai will focus on supporting our technical team in delivering our services to our existing customers and supporting bid managers preparing proposals in Middle East.

- Master / Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematical, Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Related work experience or interest in renewables, power generation, power system design, or related field with a primarily electrical or civil engineering capacity will be an advantage.
- Excellent command of the English language. Arabic, French, and Spanish languages are an advantage
- Good quantitative and analytical skills.
- Good command of verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills, a positive attitude, an open mindset and a team-oriented individual.
