About this role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Operations team and provide operational support for SCADA systems deployed across remote renewable energy plants worldwide. This role combines systems administration, infrastructure troubleshooting, automation, and customer interaction. You will help ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems supporting renewable energy operations across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and passionate about automation and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for SCADA infrastructures deployed in remote customer sites.
- Investigate and resolve incidents affecting servers, virtualization platforms, networking components, and databases.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based environments.
- Support virtualized infrastructures and ensure platform availability.
- Contribute to incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and tooling.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, customers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure service continuity and high service quality.
- Participate in operational improvement initiatives, standardization efforts, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Group Policies, and PowerShell.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting infrastructure environments, preferably within SCADA, industrial, or critical systems environments.
- Experience with virtualization platforms, with Hyper-V as a primary technology. Exposure to VMware and Proxmox is a plus.
- Basic Linux administration knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with operational tooling, monitoring platforms, automation practices, and infrastructure support frameworks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
