Job Description

Our client, a business advisory firm, is seeking a Financial Reporting Senior to join its team.

Location : On site with flexibility - Malta

Responsibilities:

As an Accountant (Reporting & Advisory) , your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Conduct research into financial reporting standards and regulations, particularly IFRS and GAPSME.
- Prepare advisory reports offering guidance on financial reporting matters.
- Draft and review financial statements to ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare consolidation workings and other financial reporting schedules in line with IFRS or GAPSME.
- Develop and deliver presentations on technical financial reporting topics to clients and internal teams.
- Draft articles covering developments and trends in financial reporting.

Requirements:

- Qualified accountant or currently in the final stages of the ACCA qualification.
- Previous experience in accounting or audit, with an interest in specialising in financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting frameworks, particularly IFRS and GAPSME.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in technical accounting.
- Commitment to keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
