Key Responsibilities

- Own the engineering roadmap, system architecture, and technical direction.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
- Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
- Drive engineering best practices, coding standards, architecture reviews, and technical governance.
- Partner with Product and Leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Own end-to-end delivery of key engineering initiatives.
- Drive cloud-native development using AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Ensure system reliability, security, performance, and operational excellence.
- Lead critical production incidents and root-cause resolution.
- Evaluate new technologies and continuously improve engineering processes.

Required Qualifications

- 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with at least 2 years working directly on AI/ML-driven products or platforms
- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in system design, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python / Java / Node.js; React experience is a plus.
- Strong experience with AWS/GCP, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.

Preferred

- Experience in high-growth startup/scale-up environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML or data-heavy platforms.
- Experience building and scaling engineering teams.
