Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Care Provider Needed - Two Energetic Kids (Flexible Weekend Hours) We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Respite Care Provider to support two fun children with higher support needs in their family home. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while engaging in energetic, fun, interactive activities with two great children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or behavioral support needs, and will be committed to creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment. Location : Eau Claire (Children's Residence) Schedule : Flexible Weekend Schedule - Up to 5Hr/Week! Compensation : $17.70/Hr About the Role: Responsibilities include general safety/elopement supervision, assisting with meals/snacks, supporting routines, and providing personal care related to toileting (Pull-Ups). The family is seeking someone who is patient, dependable, and committed to building a positive relationship with both children over time. They are open to applicants with varying levels of experience and recognize that everyone starts somewhere. Above all, they are looking for someone who is reliable, communicates effectively regarding scheduling, and is interested in becoming a trusted and consistent presence in their children's lives. About the Kids: Each child has a unique personality and set of needs: • Child #1 - Is non-verbal and experience challenges with communication. When upset, he can tend to participate in "cause-and-effect" behaviors, such as dumping out a garbage can. Overall, he loves being outside, playdoh, and his blanket for calming down. • Child #2 - Is generally easygoing and has been working on taking turns and advocating for her own space. She has also been working on understanding how her brother's abilities differ from her own. She enjoys puzzles and watching movies like "K-pop Demon Hunters" Ideal Candidate: • Provide continuous supervision to ensure the children's safety • Assist with all toileting and pull-up changes • Support positive behavior strategies • Engage the children in age-appropriate activities, including: • Outdoor play • Coloring and crafts • Playdoh activities • Movies • Puzzles • Water table play • Crash pad and sensory activities • Communicate regularly with the parent regarding schedules, routines, and any concerns • Foster positive interactions between siblings while providing support during conflicts or moments of frustration Requirements: • Experience working with children (Autism/behavioral experience is preferred) • Valid driver’s license/Reliable vehicle/Auto insurance • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive during various situations • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Ability to Pass a Caregiver/Criminal Background Check Interested?
