This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
We are looking for a patient, compassionate, and dependable child respite provider to support a child and their family in the Chippewa Falls area. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, building meaningful connections, and creating a fun and supportive environment. The respite provider will offer one-on-one support, supervision, and companionship while helping the child participate in everyday activities and things they enjoy.
Pay : $14.13 an hour - $207.45 (8-24 hours) Schedule • 15 hours/Weekly • Monday-Friday 3 hours/evening
What you'll do • Provide one-on-one supervision and support to promote the child's safety, including close supervision due to elopement concerns. • Assist with everyday tasks such as making the bed, meal preparation, bathing and other daily routines. • Keep the child engaged through play, activities, and positive interaction. • Spend time doing activities the child enjoys such as car rides and outdoor activities. • Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities and help create a fun and positive environment. • Build a trusting and positive relationship with the child through patience, consistency, and compassion. Who were looking for The ideal candidate is someone who is: • Patient, compassionate, and understanding. • Dependable and responsible • Comfortable providing one-on-one support to children • Able to maintain close supervision and prioritize safety • Energetic and willing to participate in play and outdoor activities. • Comfortable assisting with personal care and daily routines • Interested in building a genuine connection with the child. Previous experience working with children with autism or providing one-on-one support is strongly preferred. No special certifications are required, although relevant experience is a plus!
