What will you be doing?
A Data Integration Mapping Analyst is responsible for mapping and validating incoming datasets from multiple countries to ensure they are accurately aligned and integrated into Circana's systems and databases. The most important target is to ensure that source data is aligned with defined business rules, data structures, and standards, enabling high-quality downstream reporting and analytics.
You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating data mappings between source datasets and Circana data models. By ensuring that mapping specifications are accurate, complete, and consistently applied, you will help deliver reliable and high-quality data solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
You will be tasked with ownership of specific integration processes, where you will become the subject matter expert for mapping logic, data structures, and transformation rules. Different tools and processes are available to ensure data quality, consistency, and successful delivery of integrated datasets.
You will grow towards becoming a data integration expert and will be available to support our internal departments with queries regarding data mappings, integration processes, and data quality issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining data mapping specifications in line with agreed business rules and rulebooks
- Validating incoming data files to ensure compliance with defined business and technical requirements
- Identifying, analysing, and resolving data mapping and integration issues
- Ensuring objective, accurate, consistent, and high-quality data mappings
- Monitoring data quality and identifying anomalies, gaps, and trends within assigned data sources
- Updating mapping documentation, business rules, and process guidelines to ensure continued relevance and accuracy
- Supporting testing, validation, and implementation activities for new client onboardings and data integration changes
- Providing regular progress updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Providing support and guidance to internal stakeholders on data mappings, integration processes, and data quality concerns
- Co-operating with your team and other departments to ensure on-time delivery of integration projects and operational activities
- Contributing to the improvement of team and individual KPIs
Requirements
- Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience working with data integration tools, platforms, or processes
- Understanding of data modelling concepts and data relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) preferable
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Performing data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of integrated datasets
- Comfortable working against defined KPIs and delivery targets
- High sense of responsibility and ownership
- Affinity with data, systems, and business processes
- Ability to interpret and document business requirements and translate them into data mapping specifications
- Ability to create and maintain clear documentation and mapping specifications
- Experience in Agile or Scrum delivery environments preferable
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
