About this role
Cyberhawk is a fast growing, successful technology company with big ambitions. We’re the industry leaders in drone based visual inspection and survey solutions for energy infrastructure and major construction customers.
Our cloud-based enterprise software iHawk is a visual-data solution that harnesses drone and other data to allow large scale sites and assets to be managed and maintained easily. Ultimately, we help make asset and project management safer, easier and greener, thus keeping people out of danger and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the energy and construction sectors.
Our people are the secret to our success. We thrive because of our team’s incredible talent and outstanding service.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Product to lead our multidisciplinary Product function.
This is a UK based role: You can work hybrid (based in Ratho Edinburgh) or remote from the UK with quarterly trips to the office.
About our Head of Product role:
This is an excellent role for an experienced software Product leader who is used to working with a multidisciplinary team. You will be taking overall product responsibility for iHawk, our enterprise SaaS platform for managing, analysing, and delivering visual inspection and geospatial data.
This is Product Management at the intersection of enterprise software and the physical world: turning complex inspection, geospatial, and asset-management needs into software that helps customers understand and manage critical infrastructure, while working alongside Cyberhawk’s own experts and service teams to enable new and evolving technology enabled services.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows what good B2B software Product Management looks like and can help a talented Product team perform at its best.
You’ll lead and develop the team, own the iHawk product strategy and roadmap, and ensure that customer, market, and business needs are translated into clear priorities and successful software outcomes.
You’ll also work closely with our Development Team to ensure Product and Engineering operate effectively together, and with our Solutions Management, Customer Success and Sales teams, to understand the needs of the markets and customers we serve.
Responsibilities:
People and Product Leadership
- Lead, manage, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary Product team with clear expectations, accountability, and development opportunities.
- Maintain and continuously improve strong Product Management standards and provide hands-on coaching across discovery, prioritisation, roadmap management, requirements, and stakeholder management.
- Ensure the Product function has the capabilities, capacity, and ways of working required to support Cyberhawk's growth.
- Foster a collaborative, pragmatic, and accountable Product culture focused on customer and business outcomes
Product Strategy and Management
- Own and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for iHawk, aligned with Cyberhawk’s business strategy and target markets.
- Partner with Solutions Management to understand segment strategies, market needs, service solution requirements, and commercial priorities, and determine how these should inform the strategy and roadmap.
- Engage with customers and users, and work with Customer Success and Sales, to understand customer needs, product adoption, feedback, and commercial opportunities.
- Lead effective product discovery, validation, and prioritisation, making clear trade-offs between customer needs, market opportunities, strategic product development, scalability, technical investment, and other business priorities.
- Identify opportunities to increase the customer and commercial value of iHawk, including through technologies such as AI, automation, and advanced geospatial capabilities
Product and Development
- Maintain a strong partnership between Product and Development, with clear responsibilities, priorities, and desired outcomes.
- Ensure Development teams have sufficient clarity around customer problems, requirements, priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Participate actively in software planning, prioritisation, and delivery governance, ensuring timely Product decisions throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work with Development leadership to identify and resolve issues.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking first and foremost for a strong B2B software Product leader.
Whilst experience in our industry would be valuable, it is less important than strong Product Management fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
Essential
- Significant B2B software or SaaS Product Management experience, including experience in a Product leadership role.
- Demonstratable experience leading, managing, and developing Product Managers, Product Owners, or similar Product professionals.
- Strong practical knowledge of modern software Product Management, including discovery, validation, prioritisation, roadmaps, requirements, and product lifecycle management.
- Experience owning product strategy and roadmaps and working closely with software Development or Engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to make effective product decisions in environments with competing customer, commercial, and technical priorities.
- Strong people leadership, commercial judgment, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Product, Development, commercial, and market facing functions and translate different perspectives into clear product decisions.
- Experience engaging with enterprise customers and understanding how customer needs translate into scalable software products.
Desirable but not essential
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and product discovery practices.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge enabling effective understanding of functionality and technical dependencies across the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of customer-centric design, user research, product analytics, and validation techniques.
- Experience with enterprise software serving large, complex customers.
- Experience within a scaling, high-growth, or international technology business.
- Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure, asset management, inspection, or other industrial markets.
- Familiarity with geospatial technology, GIS, visual data, digital twins, AI/computer vision, or related technologies.
Additional Requirements
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK with high fluency in English.
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically, including to project sites, client offices, and company locations in the UK and internationally.
