Mead & Hunt has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives, creating opportunities for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an Aviation Engineering Supervisor within our Aviation Southwest group at our Ontario, CA office.

Responsibilities include:

- Supervising a team of aviation engineers to ensure department policies and procedures are followed.

- Overseeing team production and ensuring quality control measures are taken on all technical work.

- Supporting business development activities.

- Reviewing and approving staff timesheets and expense reports.

- Mentoring junior staff and providing professional development opportunities.

- Coordinating staff resources and workload with other managers.

- Coordinating with HR and leadership to grow the team and their skillsets.

- Working with the Department Manager regarding strategic planning related to growth and development of the team.

- Providing QA/QC review of project deliverables for technical accuracy.

- Maintaining and updating the Aviation group’s engineering standards, specifications, tools, and details used on projects.

- Other tasks as assigned.

A valid driver’s license and travel (approximately 25%) will be required.

Successful candidates must have the following:

- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university

- At least 3 years of relevant experience

OR

- Associate’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university

- At least 5 years of relevant experience

OR

- If no degree, must have at least 7 years of relevant experience.

Ideal candidates will have any/all of the following:

- Professional Engineering license in the state of California

- Leading aviation design and construction projects

- Serving as the project manager on aviation projects

- Mentoring and leading engineering project teams

- Construction management

- Preparing and negotiating contract administration, scope and fees

- Marketing and Business Development

- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
