Job Title: Line Mechanic
Location: Near Waukegan IL
Pay Rate: $25.00+/hr.
Temp to Hire
Schedule:
2nd Shift | 3:30 pm – 2:00 am (Monday - Thursday)

Position Summary
The Line Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production and packaging equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production and packaging machinery.
- Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Repair equipment such as conveyors, case erectors, case packers, labelers, and fillers .
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
- Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and setups as needed.
- Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or machine maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production or packaging equipment .
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic electrical or PLC knowledge is a plus.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Flexible with overtime.
