Front of House Manager, The Barns (Variable, up to 24 hours per week, October 2026 to May 2027)

Pay rate: $20.60/hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Nightly oversight of all FOH operations

- Ensure all proper opening procedures are being followed and the bar is ready to open as scheduled

- Manage nightly staffing assignments, ensure staff are properly trained on their assigned tasks, provide training to ensure staff can adequately complete their tasks.

- Ensure all proper closing procedures are being followed and the bar has been properly reset, stocked, cleaned, and sanitized for the next service day

- POS operation including taking orders and handling payments

- Assist with preparing and serving drinks as needed

- Turnover of the bar as needed to setup for special events

- Oversight and verification of all opening banks and closing deposits

- Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory

- Assist with patrons ordering via QR code

- Resolve any customer service concerns/issues

- Communicate any food concerns/issues to the Chef and Kitchen staff

- Assist with opening, closing, and monthly inventory counts as assigned

- Follow all Fairfax County Health Department standards. Maintain the highest level of sanitation practices, safe food handling and storage

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be at least 21 years old

- Previous management experience preferred

- Must be able to work weeknights and weekend

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Must be able to work quickly and independently

- Must successfully complete a Virginia Alcohol Server Training, ServSafe Training or company approved equivalent course within 30 days of start date

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Regularly required to walk, stoop, bend and reach with arms

- Lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently

- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

- Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach, cut, mix, etc.
