Lot Attendant / Porter
Job Summary The Lot Attendant / Porter is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, and safe vehicle lot while assisting customers, sales staff, and service personnel with vehicle movement and general dealership needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Move and park vehicles throughout the dealership lot and service areas.
- Keep vehicles organized and positioned properly for customers and staff.
- Maintain a clean and orderly lot, including trash removal and general cleanup.
- Wash, vacuum, fuel, and prepare vehicles as needed.
- Assist with vehicle deliveries, pickups, and transfers.
- Transport vehicles to and from service, detail, body shops, or other locations.
- Assist customers with locating and accessing vehicles.
- Check vehicles for visible damage and report concerns to management.
- Maintain keys and ensure vehicles are secured appropriately.
- Assist dealership personnel with general errands and other assigned tasks.
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and traffic regulations.
- Maintain a professional and courteous appearance and attitude.
- Greet and meet customers in service drive
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual-transmission vehicles, if required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Previous dealership, automotive, detailing, or porter experience is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Ability to work safely around moving vehicles and automotive equipment.
