Job Title: Medical Representative (Woodbridge Township, NJ) Job Description The Onsite Medical Representative plays a key role in promoting workplace health, safety, and wellness for employees in a fast-paced industrial environment. In this position, you independently assess and administer first aid, support occupational and non-occupational injury and illness cases, and partner closely with the Workplace Health & Safety team to reduce risk and enhance overall wellbeing. You will engage daily with associates and site leadership, participate in safety and case management meetings, and help maintain compliance with relevant health and safety standards. Responsibilities

- Independently assess employees and provide appropriate first aid support for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Refer employees to outside medical providers when care beyond first aid is required.
- Minimize the risk of employee injury through proactive awareness, education, and engagement on the operations floor.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to employees.
- Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for employees with work-related injuries.
- Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports to document care and safety-related activities.
- Engage with employees and leadership on the operations floor to provide coaching on observed at-risk work habits and body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean and organized medical workspace and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is stocked and available.
- Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.
- Maintain current credentials in first aid, CPR, and AED, and ensure all certifications remain active.
- Work flexible shifts, which may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends, based on operational needs.
- Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide effective care delivery during emergencies and assist with emergency response activities at the site.
- Attend weekly associate safety committee meetings to support ongoing safety initiatives.
- Greet new hires and provide health and safety orientation through daily one-on-one interactions as needed.
- Participate in weekly case management review meetings to discuss ongoing injury and wellness cases.
- Support safety operations as part of the onsite health and safety team, collaborating with specialists and other stakeholders.

Essential Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider.
- Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic (NRP) certification from a Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), OR current active Athletic Trainer Certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent state certification.
- Ability to obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks if not already held.
- Strong ability to assess injuries and illnesses and administer appropriate first aid.
- Capability to manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes in coordination with site stakeholders.
- Competence in maintaining accurate medical and activity records.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
- Comfort working in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions.
- Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Certification to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Experience working within an industrial wellness program.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Carteret, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.25 - $36.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
