Position Summary

The Overnight Supervisor is responsible for overseeing overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, merchandising, inventory accuracy, and store readiness for the next business day. This role provides leadership to overnight associates, maintains operational standards, and supports a safe, organized, and productive work environment while helping achieve sales and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities Overnight Operations

- Supervise all overnight stocking and merchandising activities.

- Ensure products are stocked, faced, and displayed according to company standards.

- Monitor overnight workflows and productivity to meet completion goals.

- Ensure the store is customer-ready prior to opening.

- Coordinate tasks and priorities to maximize efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Leadership & Associate Development

- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to overnight associates.

- Assign daily workloads and monitor performance.

- Train associates on stocking procedures, safety standards, and company policies.

- Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.

- Assist with scheduling and workforce planning as needed.

Inventory Management

- Monitor product movement and inventory levels.

- Ensure proper handling and rotation of merchandise.

- Identify and address out-of-stock conditions.

- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation activities.

- Support shrink reduction initiatives through proper inventory controls.

Merchandising & Store Readiness

- Ensure planograms, displays, and promotional programs are executed accurately.

- Maintain department appearance, cleanliness, and organization.

- Verify signage, shelf tags, and merchandising standards are properly implemented.

- Ensure aisles and sales floors are fully stocked and presentation-ready.

Safety & Compliance

- Maintain a safe work environment for associates.

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

- Monitor proper operation of equipment and report maintenance concerns.

- Follow food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements where applicable.

- Assist with audits and operational inspections.

Financial Performance

- Support labor management and overnight productivity goals.

- Help achieve sales and profitability targets through effective store execution.

- Monitor operational efficiencies and recommend process improvements.

- Assist in controlling expenses and minimizing product loss.
