Who you are:

We are looking for someone who is early in their accounting career and genuinely enjoys the details, from a clean bank reconciliation to ensuring GL balances remain intact. You take pride in accurate, well-documented work and you follow through on the small things that keep the books reliable. You are eager to learn, comfortable asking questions, and excited to grow your skills alongside a collaborative Finance team.

What you’ll work on:

- Perform weekly bank reconciliations working with cross functional teams such as Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness of all bank transactions incurred;
- Propose journal entries in the accounting system Netsuite, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards;
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts during month end close;
- Perform variance analysis on balance sheet accounts to identify business drivers impacting financial performance;
- Act as liaison to the Accounts Payable team by sharing knowledge, providing training, collaborating to resolve issues, and promoting best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the team;
- Manage electronic accounting documents, which includes: invoices, receipt documentation, and other ad-hoc corporate documents;
- Perform semi-monthly credit card reconciliations, by working with stakeholders across the Company to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation of all charges incurred;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce automation to gain efficiencies and provide recommendations on potential time saving opportunities;
- Demonstrate a proficient understanding of accounting standards and ensure proper implementation in routine tasks to maintain compliance and accuracy in financial reporting;
- Support other Finance team members with the month-end close and other ad-hoc projects;
- Assist with external audits and support SOX compliance; and,
- Other duties as required.

What you may have:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to  bank reconciliations and credit card coding;
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including general ledger coding and the month-end close process;
- Strong attention to detail, with a track record of accurate, well-documented work in a high-volume environment;
- Comfortable with Excel and AI tools, and quick to adapt to new financial technologies;
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate approvals and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders across the business;
- An error-checking mindset, with demonstrated ability to self-review by tracing discrepancies and leaving audit trails for SOX compliance;
- Prior experience at a SaaS or high-growth company is a bonus.
