Position Summary:

The Warehouse Tech, KeyCare Medical supports the safe handling, distribution, and upkeep of medical equipment and supplies for KeyCare operations and home care customers. This role manages inventory tracking, purchasing, receiving, and related documentation to support accurate supply management across all KeyCare facilities. The Warehouse Tech also cleans, tests, maintains, delivers, and sets up durable medical equipment (DME) to ensure readiness and reliability for patient use. Working as part of a coordinated, service-oriented team, this position contributes to patient comfort and safety by ensuring equipment is functional, properly maintained, and available when needed, while also supporting routine facility organization and equipment upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform inventory tracking, purchasing, receiving, and stocking activities to maintain accurate and timely supply levels for KeyCare Medical.

- Clean, inspect, and maintain medical equipment and supplies in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

- Deliver, set up, and retrieve durable medical equipment in patient homes, ensuring proper operation and providing clear, respectful communication.

- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance tasks for KeyCare facilities, equipment storage areas, and workspaces.

- Document equipment movement, service actions, and supply transactions in the computerized system to ensure accurate records.

- Operate delivery vehicles, hand tools, and material-handling equipment safely while coordinating equipment transfers between locations.

Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications Required:

- Current ND or other state driver's license, preferred.

Educational Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Experience Requirements:

- Minimum of one-year previous experience installing, servicing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment, preferred.

- Previous experience using computerized system for information storage and retrieval, preferred

- One year inventory control experience, preferred.

Special Skills or Training Requirements:

- The ability to work in small-defined space for periods of up to eight hours at a time.

- The ability to enter alphanumeric data into a computerized system at a minimum of 50 characters per minute.

- The ability to access, input, and retrieves information from the computer system.

- The ability to operate a Trinity Health delivery vehicle to run company errands or travel to home care customers to deliver medical supplies and equipment, a distance of up to 75 miles.

- The ability to load and unload medical supplies and equipment to and from designated locations.

- The ability to handle potentially hazardous medical supplies in a safe manner, adhering to all established procedures and regulations.

- The ability to handle potentially hazardous cleaning agents and substances in a safe manner, adhering to all established procedures and regulations.

- The ability to work in locations of varying size, height, and structure to install, service and maintain medical equipment, usually at customers homes and warehouse facility.

- The ability to climb and balance, using stairs and ladders, to install, service and maintain medical equipment at customers’ homes and warehouse facility.

- The ability to work a variety of shifts, based on company needs.

- This position requires strong communication skills.

One-way communication must accurately record customer information, orders, messages, and other related date, via telephone, written, and face-to-face communication.

- Two-way communication must communicate with clinic staff and customers in a clear, concise, friendly, and professional manner to provide and gather necessary information via telephone, written, and face-to-face communication.

Physical Requirements:

The Warehouse Tech, KeyCare Medical frequently stands, walks, bends, lifts, and carries supplies and equipment while navigating both warehouse areas and patient homes. The role requires handling medical devices, cleaning agents, oxygen cylinders, and other materials that may vary in size, weight, and shape. Climbing stairs or ladders, using hand tools, and maneuvering equipment in tight or uneven spaces are common. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are essential for reading labels, performing data entry, assembling equipment, and communicating effectively with customers and staff.

Environmental Requirements:

This position works in a combination of warehouse, vehicle, and patient home environments, each with varied temperatures, space constraints, and potential exposure to cleaning chemicals and medical supplies. Work may involve entering homes of differing layouts and conditions while maintaining strict adherence to safety and infection-prevention protocols. The role may encounter moderate noise, equipment movement, and the need to drive in changing weather or traffic conditions during deliveries. PPE and safe-handling procedures must be followed at all times to protect staff, patients, and equipment.
