Senior Project Manager - Golf Course Specialist

The Project:

This is an opportunity to work on a large luxury mixed-use development in KSA, Riyadh. Mace is providing project management consultancy services

Lead the assured delivery of complex golf course developments, integrating project controls with specialist technical knowledge across construction, shaping, drainage, irrigation, agronomy, landscaping and operational handover. Drive safe, sustainable, high-quality outcomes that meet design intent, playability, programme, budget and long-term operational requirements.

You’ll be responsible for:

- You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.

- You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
- You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).

Your responsibilities:

·        Champion safety, wellbeing, inclusivity and responsible delivery across every project.

·        Deliver projects through clear planning, quality systems and strong stakeholder collaboration.

·        Supervise change and commercial performance with integrity.

·        Lead teams to achieve KPIs, share best practice and unlock potential across Mace.

·        Lead end-to-end golf course delivery from strategy, mobilisation and procurement through construction, grow-in, handover and closeout.

·        Integrate design, shaping, drainage, irrigation, turf, landscaping and facilities to protect quality, playability and operational performance.

·        Drive governance, controls, risk, cost, programme and reporting discipline.

·        Champion stakeholder alignment, HSE, sustainability and assurance.

You’ll need to have:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, landscape architecture, turfgrass management, agronomy, project management or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree, PMP, PRINCE2, APM, chartered/professional registration, golf course construction, irrigation, agronomy, turf management or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Extensive years of progressive experience in golf course development, sports infrastructure, resort/leisure destinations, landscape construction, civil infrastructure, public realm, hospitality or capital programme delivery environments.
- Demonstrated senior project management experience leading complex golf course or landscape-led packages, multidisciplinary teams, consultants and specialist contractors in live delivery environments.
- Strong track record in course construction, earthworks, shaping, irrigation, drainage, turf establishment, agronomy coordination, water management, landscape delivery, procurement support, contract administration and executive reporting.
- Experience managing design-to-construction interfaces, grow-in strategy, clubhouse and facilities interfaces, maintenance facility readiness, operational transition, commissioning and closeout is preferred.
- Professional English proficiency required; Arabic is advantageous where authority, local stakeholder or regional delivery coordination is required. Advanced capability in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Power BI or equivalent dashboards, document control platforms, risk registers, collaboration platforms and project management information systems.
- Familiarity with golf course design documentation, irrigation design tools, QA/QC inspection records, field reporting platforms and site-based delivery systems is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence and site access eligibility may be required.
- Strategic judgement and senior stakeholder influence.

- Clear communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and escalation management,
- Significant golf course project management experience.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors.
- Strong controls, reporting, stakeholder, commercial and technical delivery capability.
