Azure Integration Lead

Role Summary We are looking for an Azure Integration Lead to design and lead enterprise integration solutions on Microsoft Azure for our digital transformation clients. You will own the integration architecture end to end, from defining patterns and standards to guiding delivery teams through build and go-live. The role involves working closely with client stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable, secure and reusable integration designs, and mentoring engineers across the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Developer, Architect and govern integration solutions using Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid and Event Hubs
- Define API-led and event-driven integration patterns, standards and reusable frameworks for enterprise clients
- Lead solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders and prepare high-level and low-level design documents
- Design integrations across SaaS, on-premises and cloud systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics and legacy platforms
- Set security, monitoring, error handling and performance standards, including Azure AD, Key Vault, Application Insights and Azure Monitor
- Establish CI/CD and DevOps practices for integration workloads using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM or Terraform)
- Guide and review the work of integration developers, and provide technical leadership during delivery
- Support pre-sales activity, including solution approach, estimation and technical presentations
- Advise clients on migration from legacy middleware such as BizTalk, MuleSoft or Boomi to Azure-native integration
Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in an integration architect or senior integration role
- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Integration Services, particularly Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus and Azure Functions
- Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, messaging, event-driven architecture and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience with data formats and protocols such as JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, SFTP and OData
- Working knowledge of Azure networking, identity and security concepts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
- Exposure to consulting or client-facing delivery, ideally with UK, Europe or Middle East clients
- Azure certifications such as AZ-305 or AZ-204 are a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain architecture decisions to both technical and business audiences
