Job role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive senior Vendor Contract Manager Specialist to join our team within Allianz Services Romania. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our contract portfolio, driving cost efficiency, and advancing our Vendor Management strategy.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Procurement and Controlling activities, collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization. You will have the chance to shape a newly established function, contribute to strategic initiatives, and leverage innovative technologies including AI-driven solutions.
What you will do
Contract Inventory Management:
- Maintain the Contract Inventory (CI) in SharePoint for Group People & Culture, covering approx. 600 contracts.
- Proactive engagement and regular collaboration with respective teams to ensure data quality and completeness.
SharePoint Development:
- Further develop the Contract Inventory by implementing new functionalities within SharePoint.
- Improve usability, reporting capabilities, and overall process efficiency of the platform.
Management Meeting Preparation:
- Prepare and coordinate management meetings related to Vendor Management topics.
- Responsibilities include agenda preparation, stakeholder coordination, and timely follow-up activities.
Vendor Management Strategy:
- Contribute to the further development of the Vendor Management strategy.
- Focus on efficiency improvements and sustainable cost savings across the vendor portfolio.
Management Presentations & Decision Materials:
- Enhance the Vendor Management framework by preparing high-quality management presentations.
- Create decision-making materials that effectively communicate project achievements and strategic recommendations.
Framework Agreements:
- Develop a strategic approach for framework agreements.
- Lead vendor selection, price adjustments, and discount negotiations to maximize value.
Budget Controlling:
- Track contractual commitments and monitor booked and outstanding costs.
- Support budget planning activities and assist with year-end closing to ensure financial accuracy.
Cross-Functional (Procurement & Controlling):
- AI & Innovation: Explore and implement AI agents to support operational tasks and increase efficiency across teams; and drive automation across both Procurement and Controlling through innovative tooling.
- Documentation & Communication: Create and maintain required documentation and communication materials; and produce materials including handouts and Allianz Connect articles to keep stakeholders informed.

You have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in procurement, vendor/contract management, or a related function.
- Experience in budget controlling, financial planning, or cost management is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of working in corporate or international environments, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and data management tools.
- Experience with AI-driven solutions or process automation is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
