Your key responsibilities:
• You define and implement the Claims function strategy, aligned with Allianz-Țiriac's business objectives, and contribute to the executive team agenda;
• You lead the transformation of the Claims function into a digital, customer-centric, and data-driven organisation (automation, image recognition, self-service), in partnership with IT and Operations;
• You coordinate and develop the Claims management teams and build a culture of high performance, accountability, and innovation;
• You ensure a seamless customer journey across all claims types and improve satisfaction (NPS/VoC), complaints management, and process transparency;
• You shorten claims handling and settlement times, reduce customer effort, and promote proactive communication with customers, brokers, and partners;
• You lead end-to-end claims operations for the P&C and Life & Health lines and ensure optimal resource and workload allocation;
• You establish and monitor performance and productivity KPIs (cycle time, STP rate, LAE per claim, productivity per FTE, open claims inventory, complaints rate);
• You increase the level of straight-through processing (STP) and implement continuous improvement initiatives and Lean practices;
• You manage operational budgets and claims handling expenses and lead cost optimisation and loss ratio improvement initiatives;
• You ensure robust governance over the settlement of large and complex claims;
• You define and manage the supplier network strategy (motor repair shops, medical providers) and strengthen fraud detection, prevention, and investigation capabilities;
• You ensure compliance with ASF regulations, data protection obligations, and Allianz Group standards, manage audits and outsourced activities, and represent the Claims function in dealings with ASF, regional and Group structures, brokers, and corporate clients.
What we expect from you:
• Education: university degree;
• Experience in a similar role: minimum 5 years in motor insurance and minimum 5 years of team management;
• Knowledge: management (advanced level); MS Office (especially Excel); motor and non-motor insurance (advanced level); motor and non-motor technical knowledge (intermediate level); insurance legislation;
• Foreign languages: English, B2 level – upper-intermediate;
• Personal skills and qualities: communication and interpersonal skills; cooperation; negotiation; leadership; entrepreneurial mindset; results orientation; decision-making ability; integrity and honesty; proactiveness / positive attitude; accountability; adaptability to change;
• Ability to manage relationships with regulatory authorities (ASF);
• Familiarity with AI tools.
