Job Description

Your Role: Strategic Operations Manager

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious, analytically minded early-career professional to support the running of the entire AdPower operation. You'll support the Head of Business Operations with data analysis, delivering “deep-dive” strategic projects, and project management. It's an ideal role for someone who is comfortable in data, intellectually curious, highly organised and hungry to make a real impact in a fast-growing media business.

As a  Strategic Operations Manager  at Global, you will:

Key Responsibilities

Data & Reporting (40%)

- Consolidate data and reporting across AdPower, replacing piecemeal processes with a single, reliable view of performance

- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that surface the right insight at the right time for leadership

- Work closely with Finance and other functions to ensure commercial data is accurate, up-to-date and accessible

- Proactively identify gaps in reporting and drive improvements that reduce manual effort and increase confidence in numbers

- Support the wider team with BI requirements to support strategic insight and operational progress

Project-based Analysis & Insights (30%)

- Writing, refining, and delivering data & insight briefs for ‘special projects’ – analyses that look to answer business-critical questions on a range of subjects from product funnel performance, through to pricing and revenue analysis

- Working with other teams and functions across the business to understand context and problems in depth, and reach the best conclusion for both AdPower & Global

- Present conclusions and results to Senior Leadership Team and Stakeholders

Project Support & Programme Coordination (30%)

- Support the development, execution and ongoing tracking of core projects ongoing for AdPower, whether that’s developing a new pricing strategy, or launching a brand campaign

- Build and edit high-quality presentations, translating complex ideas and data into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences

- Act as a connector to cross-functional partners, particularly Finance, pulling together forecasts, numbers and commercial inputs as needed

- Maintain action logs and follow up between meetings to keep things moving

- Maintain a forward-looking view of key meetings, milestones and decisions, flagging preparation needs in advance

- Draft briefing notes, action summaries and follow-up communications from key meetings

What You'll Love About This Role

1. Think Big:  You'll work directly alongside the Head of Business Operations on some of the most important strategic questions facing the business.

2. Own It:  From data infrastructure to pricing analysis, you'll have real ownership of meaningful work from day one.

3. Keep it Simple:  You have a gift for making the complex clear — turning data and ambiguity into sharp narratives for senior audiences.

4. Better Together:  You'll build relationships across Marketing, Finance, Customer Success and Operations, becoming a trusted connector across the business.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you'll have:

- Built strong working relationships across key cross-functional partners

- Taken on ownership of creating a reporting framework and process that gives leadership a clear, reliable view of AdPower performance and operations

- Supported projects hands-on, developed unique insights through data, helping them drive to completion quickly

- Become a trusted, proactive presence in executive preparation and planning sessions

What You'll Need

- Strong analytical mindset and skillset: You're advanced in Excel and comfortable with: structured data, BI tools (Tableau, Lookr, Power BI) and SQL (3+ years preferred) and can turncomplex numbers into clear insight and action.

- Commercial curiosity: You're genuinely interested in how businesses make commercial decisions, and you ask the right questions.

- Technical Communication and strong storytelling: You can translate complex technical details into easy clear messages, build a sharp deck, write a concise briefing note and hold a room with your ideas.

- Stakeholder confidence: You're comfortable building relationships across functions and at different levels of seniority.

- Proactivity and initiative: You don't wait to be told, you spot what needs doing and get on with it.

- Organised and detail-oriented: You can juggle multiple workstreams without letting things slip.

- Education and experience: A business-related degree is preferred; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is welcome. We're looking for someone with 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in a commercial, strategy, consulting or an analytical environment.
