Senior Java Developer
About the role:
We are Optiveum, a trusted IT recruitment and contracting agency. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join the team of our client—a dynamic and forward-thinking company operating in the financial sector, specifically within the Cards Technology domain.
In this role, you will be part of an agile environment dedicated to providing the financial solutions of tomorrow, with plenty of room for experimentation, growth, and sharing your unique ideas.
Key Details:
- Rate: Up to 140 PLN/h
- Work model: Hybrid (3 days a week from the office)
- Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia
- Contracting party: Optiveum (we sign the cooperation agreement with you)
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications that support core business services.
- Collaborating closely within an Agile team and ART (Agile Release Train).
- Working with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing applications.
- Optimizing application performance and ensuring the highest standards of code quality.
- Creating technical documentation for developed functionalities.
Must-have Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Java Software Development.
- Solid, hands-on experience with Java (8+), Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Practical knowledge of microservices architecture, clean code principles, and continuous integration.
- Good understanding of REST API design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins).
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in both Polish and English .
Nice to have:
- Experience in C++ development.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with test automation concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Knowledge of Kafka and/or Spring WebFlux.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Front-end development experience with JavaScript, Angular, or React.
- Previous experience in the financial industry.
