Healthpoint is seeking a highly skilled and patient-centered Specialist Plastic Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical care, delivering high-quality treatment through evidence-based practice and collaboration with other specialties. The role requires excellence in clinical assessment, surgical intervention, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement to support Healthpoint's commitment to outstanding patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients requiring plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical procedures.
- Perform a broad range of plastic surgery procedures in accordance with clinical privileges and established standards of care.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care.
- Assess and manage trauma-related soft tissue injuries, burns, scars, and congenital or acquired deformities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including dermatology, oncology, orthopedics, ENT, breast surgery, and rehabilitation services.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, surgical procedures, and on-call duties as assigned.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes.
- Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and departmental development activities.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development programs.
- Support teaching and mentoring activities for junior medical staff when required.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognized by the Department of Health (DOH), Abu Dhabi.
- Completion of an accredited residency and specialty training program in Plastic Surgery.
- Relevant Board Certification in Plastic Surgery (Arab Board, European Board, American Board, Canadian Board, UK CCT, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Eligibility for DOH licensure as a Specialist Plastic Surgery or possession of a valid DOH license.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in a reputable healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in reconstructive, cosmetic, and microsurgical procedures.
- Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and patient management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
