Mars Snacking Packaging Co-Op Experience

As a Mars Snacking Packaging Co-Op, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

- As a Packaging Engineer, you are responsible for the below:

- Lead and execute packaging sustainability and innovation projects.

- Support ideating and realizing cost savings goals.

- Support global packaging material quality improvements across Mars Snacking by collaborating cross-functionally with packaging engineers, global factories, and Quality & Food Safety teams.

- Perform hands-on packaging testing and prototyping in the Global Innovation Center labs to support Mars Snacking innovation and sustainability programs.

- Collaborate with packaging engineers in different organizations across the Mars Snacking Segment, including North America and Accelerator

- Collaborate with cross functional team members including product development, equipment engineering, activity management, finance, industrial engineering and others.The Mars Co-Op is a 7 month summer/fall program providing excellent depth of experience with various real world Mars projects.

What we’re looking for:

- We are looking for agile students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships.

- We are looking for students who are passionate about packaging and the consumer products industry.

- Prefer a student earning a Packaging Engineering degree or minor

- Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening.

- Eligible candidates will be responsible for personal transportation to and from work site during duration of the internship program .

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
