About this role

Accountabilities:

- Build, maintain, and deepen long-term relationships with strategically important agricultural clients.

- Act as a primary strategic point of contact, developing a strong understanding of clients’ businesses, objectives, and financial needs.

- Recommend tailored financial solutions that support clients’ growth, investments, and long-term plans.

- Structure and negotiate complex credit transactions in collaboration with specialized internal teams.

- Identify new business opportunities and increase share of wallet across existing and prospective clients.

- Use agricultural market trends and sector knowledge to provide relevant, value-added advice.

- Collaborate with internal partners to deliver an exceptional client experience and integrated financial solutions.

- Represent the organization within the business community through industry events, conferences, and market development activities.

- Contribute to portfolio growth and profitability while maintaining sound credit and risk management practices.

Requirements:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in relationship management, account management, or portfolio management within commercial banking or a similar environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, agriculture, or a related discipline.

- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, commercial credit, and risk management.

- Demonstrated ability to develop lasting business relationships and influence a range of stakeholders.

- Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and a strong customer-focused approach.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of the agriculture and agribusiness sectors.

- Strong capabilities in relationship management, transaction structuring, portfolio management, credit risk assessment, and business development.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners and manage multiple priorities.

- Fluent French and English communication skills, as the role supports clients and team members within and/or outside Quebec.

- Salary range of $70,000 to $150,000, with compensation varying based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
