JOB SUMMARY

The Academic Program Manager develops innovative K-8 curriculum aligned with TEKS, STEM, and NGSS standards. This role oversees on- and off-site educational programming, including classroom labs, gallery content, outreach programs, and summer off-site program logistics. Responsibilities include creating professional development materials, online content, and teacher training resources while leveraging the latest in technology and science education trends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Collaborate on curriculum development and revisions reflecting NGSS, STEM, and state standards.

· Assess and address needs for classroom labs, gallery programs, and outreach.

· Manage educational materials, supplies, and budgets for assigned programs.

· Design and deliver professional development workshops and resources for teachers.

· Develop engaging training materials, including videos, presentations, and interactive tools.

· Coordinate contracts and logistics with school district partners.

· Track metrics for grant-funded programs and develop lesson assessments.

· Teach/model classes and provide coaching feedback for teachers.

· Manage scheduling, communications, and professional development resources.

· Contribute to education marketing through e-blasts, social media, and flyers.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in education or life sciences; Master’s in Instructional Design/STEM preferred.

· Strong background in earth/life sciences, pedagogy, and curriculum design.

· 3+ years in curriculum design, teacher training, or K-12 teaching (including at-risk populations).

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, e-learning platforms, LMS, and graphic design software.

· Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

· Ability to work outdoors, lift 30-50 lbs, and accommodate evening/weekend shifts.

KEY SKILLS:

· Motivated self-starter with excellent communication and teaching skills.

· Strong knowledge of instructional design, team management, and copyright standards.

· Technologically adept, with the ability to learn new software quickly.

· Proven ability to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
