Traveling Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description The Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale, mission-critical construction projects. This position serves as the vital link between field operations and project management, ensuring smooth coordination and execution. Responsibilities

- Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and design teams.
- Track project budgets and manage change orders.
- Support scheduling efforts to ensure timely project completion.
- Oversee project closeout activities to ensure all deliverables are met.

Essential Skills

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Work Environment The work environment involves a strong team and support structure, offering opportunities for career progression, particularly into a Project Manager role. Typical work expectations include 60+ hours per week with travel rotations of either 10 days on with 4 days off or 11 days on with 3 days off. During these rotations, work is typically conducted 6 days per week with occasional weekends, roughly once per month or every 6 weeks. #ACTmneng26

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
