As an experienced Offset Press Operator at Visions, you'll be responsible for transforming paper, ink, plates, technology, and customer specifications into finished products we're proud to put our name behind.

You'll set up, operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial offset printing equipment.

You'll manage color.

- Registration.

- Ink distribution.

- Press speed.

What You'll Do:

As a   2nd Shift Offset Press Operator , you'll take ownership of your press and the work entrusted to you. You will:

- Review job tickets, specifications, proofs, production requirements, and customer expectations before beginning each job.

- Set up and prepare offset printing equipment for production.

- Obtain and verify paper, inks, plates, and other materials required for each job.

- Set ink distribution, press speed, tension, registration, and other operating variables.

- Match color to approved proofs and maintain color consistency throughout production.

- Register colors and make the adjustments necessary to achieve exceptional print quality.

- Verify all specifications and materials before beginning production.

- Run the press efficiently while continuously monitoring quality and productivity.

- Pull sheets regularly and inspect color, registration, consistency, defects, and overall print quality.

- Coordinate and call for press checks when required.

- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, alignment, calibration, and preventative maintenance.

- Recognize equipment or production problems early and troubleshoot them before they become larger issues.

- Complete job tickets, production records, color samples, and required documentation accurately.

- Provide work direction and support to Pressroom Feeders and other team members.

- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe work environment.

- Accurately record job time, materials, and production activity.

- Communicate important information clearly to the next shift to keep work moving efficiently.

- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.

- Look for opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, and make our processes better.

What You'll Bring:

We're looking for an experienced professional who understands offset printing and is ready to bring their skills to a company that values craftsmanship.

Required Qualifications:

- 3–5+ years of commercial Offset Press Operator experience   with similar printing equipment.

- Strong understanding of commercial offset printing processes.

- Solid knowledge of color theory, color matching, registration, and print-quality standards.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

- Ability to read and understand job tickets, proofs, production specifications, and written instructions.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and make sound production decisions.

- Ability to manage priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with others.

- Dependability, accountability, and pride in workmanship.

Experience We'd Especially Value

- Experience operating multi-color commercial sheetfed offset presses.

- Strong understanding of paper stocks, inks, coatings, plates, and other printing materials.

- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and print-quality issues.

- Preventative maintenance experience.

- Knowledge of color management and process-control standards.

- Experience working within an   ISO 9001 quality environment .

- Understanding of commercial printing, finishing, fulfillment, and supply-chain manufacturing.

- Experience helping train, lead, or provide direction to Pressroom Feeders or other Production team members.

Physical Requirements:

This is an active manufacturing position and requires the ability to:

- Lift up to 50 pounds of paper and other printing materials.

- Stand, walk, and operate production equipment for extended periods.

- Safely perform the physical responsibilities associated with commercial press operation.

- Demonstrate strong visual acuity and color perception to identify subtle differences in color and print quality.

- Work safely and effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
