As a Buyer with UVA Health's Procurement Operations team, you will help ensure the products and services needed to support patient care are available when they are needed, contributing directly to the success of a nationally recognized academic health system.

The Rol e

As a Buyer, you will support the procurement of goods and services that help UVA Health maintain the resources necessary to care for patients. Working within Procurement Operations, you will contribute to purchasing activities, supplier interactions, and transaction management while developing a comprehensive understanding of the procure-to-pay process. This role offers the opportunity to build purchasing expertise and become increasingly independent in decision-making as your knowledge grows.

On a typical day, you may:

- Support purchasing activities associated with the procure-to-pay process.

- Help ensure products and services are available to meet organizational and patient care needs.

- Review purchasing requests and process procurement transactions.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support operational needs.

- Analyze purchasing-related issues and identify practical solutions.

- Learn purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices while building expertise across the Buyer function.

- Exercise sound judgment and progressively assume greater decision-making responsibility following training.

The pay range for this role is $28.00 - $43.91 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
