About the Role

MediaTek is looking for a Director of BU and Segment Marketing, reporting to the Head of Marketing, US & Europe, you will own how our edge-to-cloud portfolio is positioned in our two most competitive markets. The scope spans Compute, Personal Devices and Wearables, IoT, Automotive, and Data Center ASIC, along with the AI technologies that run across all of them.

You will set positioning, messaging, and go-to-market Marcom strategy across the portfolio, working directly with business unit stakeholders in the US and at Taiwan HQ — product line general managers, product management, and engineering leadership — to shape launch and roadmap decisions, and turning competing BU priorities into one coherent plan for the US and Europe. You will work just as closely with the functional teams in corporate communications, analyst relations, digital, and events to bring the story to market, and you will engage directly with press, media, analysts, customers and partners. The role is global, requires close and ongoing alignment with MediaTek's Taiwan headquarters and US/Europe and Asia teams, and involves approximately 20% international travel.

What You'll Do

• BU & Segment Marcom Strategy: Own BU and segment Marcom strategy across all business lines — segmentation, target customers, value propositions, and a message hierarchy that runs from the corporate narrative down to individual platforms. Build one coherent MediaTek AI story that spans device and data center rather than a set of disconnected platform pitches.
• Business Unit Partnership: Serve as the primary Marcom counterpart to the business units on roadmap and launch planning. Represent US and European market requirements in BU planning cycles, bring customer and competitive evidence into product decisions, and translate technical roadmaps into customer-facing narratives and sales-ready material.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and grow the BU and segment marketing team and its business-line leads across Compute, Data Center and Personal Devices, and Automotive and IoT. Set the standard for technical depth, writing quality, and launch discipline; hire to close gaps; and allocate people and budget against business priority rather than equal split.
• Go-to-Market & Campaign Execution: Own launch readiness end to end — 360 planning, positioning, campaigns, collateral, briefing decks, demos, web content, sales enablement, and post-launch measurement. Define and report the metrics that matter, including share of voice, engagement, and influence on pipeline and design wins, and manage Marcom budget and agency partners accordingly.
• AI & Technology Narrative: Keep the technical story credible and current across NPU and accelerator architecture, memory and interconnect, performance per watt and per TCO, on-device versus cloud inference, and the developer software stack — connecting silicon capability to the workloads customers actually run. Show that continuity across form factors as a differentiator against single-market competitors.
• Press, Media & Analyst Engagement: Act as a technical spokesperson for the portfolio and own the briefing and relationship cadence with media and industry analysts alongside corporate communications and AR. Shape the story behind press materials, keynote and demo narratives, and executive briefings for flagship moments including internal events, major tradeshows and prepare executives for their most important external appearances.
• Competitive & Market Intelligence: Maintain a live view of competitive roadmaps, customer requirements, and analyst sentiment across every segment we compete in, from the AI PC to the vehicle to the rack. Set the competitive and turn it into a point of view leadership can act on.
