Guardian is building out its Financial Planning & Analysis function and is hiring its first FP&A Analyst to support enterprise-level finance work, regional financial reporting, and a growing analytics function. This role splits time across four areas: corporate FP&A priorities (budgeting, forecasting, executive and investor reporting); direct support of Guardian's Regional Presidents, helping them understand and communicate their region's quarterly financial performance; partnership with the Business Intelligence team on reporting and dashboard development; and ad hoc analytical support to other functional teams — including Purchasing and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) — as data and analytics needs arise across the business.

This is a highly visible role for someone who wants broad exposure across a public, multi-region healthcare services company — partnering with corporate leadership as well as operating leaders in the field. It is well suited to someone early-to-mid career who wants to build both technical FP&A skills and business partnering experience.

What You’ll Do

Corporate FP&A Support — Approximately 40%

- Support the consolidated forecasting process by analyzing quarterly results and evaluating how current trends may affect future performance.
- Review monthly revenue, resident, prescription volume, and related operating metrics to support current- and future-quarter forecasts.
- Maintain and enhance executive dashboards tracking key performance indicators, including resident gains and losses, production labor per prescription, and operating profit.
- Partner with the Director of FP&A on quarterly financial analysis and the communication of results to executive leadership and Investor Relations.
- Prepare timely, decision-focused analyses for the CFO, CEO, COO, Investor Relations, and other senior leaders.

Regional Financial Reporting and Analysis — Approximately 20%

- Prepare quarterly financial performance packages for an assigned group of Regional Senior Vice Presidents using standardized reporting templates.
- Translate operating drivers—including occupancy trends, resident gains and losses, prescription volume, and labor metrics—into a clear financial narrative.
- Analyze performance against budget and forecast, identifying emerging risks, trends, and opportunities within each region.
- Serve as a responsive FP&A resource for regional leaders and assist with financial questions and follow-up analysis between quarterly reviews.

Business Intelligence — Approximately 25%

- Partner with the Business Intelligence team to develop, test, and maintain reports and dashboards using Guardian’s BI platforms, including Power BI.
- Understand business challenges and proactively recommend reporting, analytical, and technical solutions.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance for reports and dashboards before they are distributed to executive and regional leaders.
- Translate requests from finance and operating leaders into clear BI reporting requirements and specifications.
- Document report logic, data definitions, and refresh schedules as Guardian’s BI capabilities continue to evolve.

Cross-Functional Analytics — Approximately 15%

- Serve as an FP&A partner to Purchasing, Pharmacy Benefit Management, and other departments, gathering and analyzing data used in company forecasts.
- Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from functional teams, coordinating priorities, scope, and timing with the Director of FP&A.
- Support additional financial and analytical initiatives as business needs evolve.

What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- One to four years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or another analytical role.
- Strong Excel and financial-modeling skills.
- Experience with business intelligence and dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau is strongly preferred.
- SQL or other data-querying experience is a plus.
- Ability to work with large—and sometimes imperfect—datasets and translate findings into a clear, meaningful business story.
- Comfort partnering with non-finance teams, including Purchasing and PBM, to understand their data and turn it into actionable analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present information to both finance and non-finance leaders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams with limited day-to-day oversight.
- Experience within healthcare, a multi-site organization, or a publicly traded company is helpful but not required.
