General Description

Lead the Manufacturing Launch Process (MLP) from start to finish, ensuring that new products, transfers, major process changes, and ramp-ups are launched safely, on time, and with the defined levels of safety, quality, cost, capacity, and performance. Coordinates cross-functional teams, leads governance activities, identifies and escalates risks, and ensures the controlled transition of the project into a stable operation.

Experience and Education

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, product launches, and project management.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and projects with multiple dependencies.
- Conversational/professional English.

Knowledge, Skills and Certifications

- Project planning and management; control of timing, milestones, deliverables, and priorities.
- Cross-functional leadership, effective communication, and influence without direct authority.
- Data analysis, KPI management, structured problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Risk, change, dependency, and escalation management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, readiness, and ramp-up activities.

Required Certifications / Knowledge:

- APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, and ISO 9001.
- Lean / Continuous Improvement.
- Project Management methodology; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, or project tracking tools.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead the MLP from kickoff through post-launch stabilization, maintaining an end-to-end view of the project.
- Define and maintain the project charter, scope, governance, timing, milestones, deliverables, ownership, and success criteria.
- Coordinate cross-functional readiness activities across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, HSE, Production, and support functions.
- Prepare and facilitate gate/readiness reviews with objective evidence; document decisions, roadblocks, and action items, and escalate as needed.
- Maintain the launch risk and opportunity register, ensuring mitigation plans, owners, and target closure dates are defined and tracked.
- Coordinate pre-SOP validations, confirming that entry criteria for each project phase have been met.
- Define and monitor ramp-up indicators for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People; activate recovery plans when deviations occur.
- Control changes and deviations during the launch phase and ensure a formal, complete, and sustainable hand-off to Operations.
- Close the project through stabilization, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of the MLP standard.
