We’re looking for an experienced Project Superintendent who wants more than simply managing the day-to-day activity on a jobsite. This position leads the construction effort in the field and plays a critical role in how our projects are planned, coordinated, and executed.

As a Project Superintendent, you will have responsibility for the  project schedule, field operations, safety, quality, trade coordination, site logistics, and execution of the work. You’ll work alongside the Project Manager and project team from preconstruction through closeout to make sure the project stays ahead of problems instead of reacting to them.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the field construction effort and create an environment where everyone on the project understands the plan, their responsibilities, and what needs to happen next. Your responsibilities will include:

- Own and actively manage the project schedule, including weekly updates, three-week look-aheads, trade commitments, and coordination of upcoming work.

- Lead daily field operations and coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, materials, equipment, inspections, logistics, and site access.

- Take ownership of jobsite safety and quality, setting expectations and holding the entire project team accountable.

- Lead pull planning and weekly work planning using iiCON’s lean construction approach.

- Work closely with the Project Manager to identify constraints, solve problems, and keep decisions from becoming schedule impacts.

- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and hold trade partners accountable for manpower, schedule commitments, quality, and safety.

- Maintain accurate daily project documentation and ensure significant field conditions, delays, direction, and project events are properly recorded.

- Plan field manpower and track production rates for iiCON’s self-performed work.

- Participate in preconstruction, constructability reviews, schedule development, and project turnover

- Drive punch-list completion and field closeout so projects finish as strongly as they start.

This role is a strong fit for someone who naturally takes ownership and moves things forward .

You’re comfortable making decisions in the field and don't need someone constantly telling you what to do next. You can look several weeks ahead, recognize problems before they affect the project, and get the right people involved to solve them.

You thrive in a construction environment where priorities can change quickly. You can juggle multiple issues without losing sight of the overall project objectives, and you have the confidence to hold yourself and others accountable.

At the same time, you understand that being a strong Superintendent isn't about simply pushing people. You establish expectations, communicate clearly, build relationships with trade partners, and create a jobsite where people understand the plan and work together toward it.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent or Quality Control Manager, with hands-on experience managing schedules, quality, safety, subcontractor coordination, and field execution. Experience on commercial projects ranging from approximately $1 million to $30 million is preferred.

You should be comfortable reading plans and specifications, developing and maintaining construction schedules, working with project management and scheduling software, and communicating with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

The position requires OSHA 30, OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, applicable Competent Person training, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with construction scheduling software. A Construction Management or Engineering degree is preferred but not required.

Location

This position will be based in Colorado Springs and may include working on the Front Range from South Denver to Pueblo, Colorado.
