The Role
Clariant Mining Solutions is a trusted global provider of emulsifiers for mining explosives and mineral processing reagents. We focus on creating value by improving performance of our customers' processes through a global network of application and development centres and rapid response to customer requirements. The Laboratory Technician performs application tests, trials, and physicochemical analyses at customer sites and in the Clariant laboratory, covering raw materials, finished and semi-finished products, and products still in development, including micro-scale application work, issuing test reports and technical documentation, and resolving low-complexity issues.
What are your responsibilities?
- Review customer requests received via the commercial team and organize related activities;
- Carry out various tests according to internal or external requests and instructions;
- Preparation of samples for testing and general laboratory housekeeping;
- Participate in the development/adaptation of products and processes, running tests and micro-scale applications;
- Prepare technical reports on tests performed to record variations and results achieved.

- Technical/vocational qualification in Mining or Chemistry;
- Prior exposure to a laboratory or manufacturing environment;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office applications.
