Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Set up, operate, and monitor Extrusion Blow Moulding machines in accordance with production schedules, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Perform machine start-ups and shutdowns, mould changes, and product changeovers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining required quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, process, and downtime records.
Process Optimization & Troubleshooting
- Analyze process and production performance and adjust machine parameters to optimize cycle time, product quality, scrap rates, and overall equipment efficiency .
- Optimize key EBM process parameters , including extrusion, parison control, mold closing, blowing, cooling, and cycle conditions.
- Identify the root causes of quality defects , machine failures, and process deviations using structured problem-solving techniques and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve process stability and operational performance.
- Support the processing of HDPE and other specialized polymer materials and compounds, including materials with specific barrier, adhesive, conductive, or antistatic properties.
- Provide hands-on technical support to operators and production teams when required.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Perform and verify product quality checks in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and control plans.
- Ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and other operational excellence programs.
Engineering Support & Validation Activities
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to identify root causes and develop sustainable technical solutions.
- Support production trials, process development activities, and new product introductions.
- Assist with new mould validation, equipment qualification, process validation, and production start-up activities.
- Provide hands-on technical support during mould trials, process development, and equipment commissioning.
- Participate in special projects related to manufacturing improvements, process optimization, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical expertise and practical input during process development and optimization initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment and immediately report unsafe conditions or practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
Education
- Technical High School Diploma, Vocational School Diploma, or equivalent technical education.
- Additional training or certification in plastics processing, extrusion blow moulding, or related manufacturing processes is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Blow Moulding operations.
- Proven experience with mould changes, product changeovers, and process parameter adjustments.
- Experience processing HDPE and other polymer materials used in specialized blow moulding applications.
- Experience supporting preventive maintenance activities and troubleshooting equipment-related issues.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Blow Moulding processes, machinery, moulds, and auxiliary equipment .
- Good understanding of extrusion and blow molding process variables and their impact on product quality and performance.
- Ability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues independently and effectively.
- Understanding of material behavior and processing requirements for different polymer grades and specialized compounds.
- Familiarity with quality systems, process controls, production documentation, and manufacturing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
- Good understanding of manufacturing KPIs such as cycle time, scrap, downtime, OEE, and production efficiency.
