About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Functional Architect who will design scalable solutions and guide their successful implementation across internal teams and customer projects. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on collaboration, with a strong focus on aligning client needs and Amadeus’ enterprise vision.
In this role, you’ll:
- Analyze business needs, design cross-functional solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and delivery teams to oversee solution feasibility and integration.
- Prepare and present solution recommendations in a way that is clear for diverse stakeholders.
- Promote collaboration across functions to create synergy and maintain solution consistency.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor progress and communicate status updates effectively, ensuring transparency and risk awareness.
- Support smooth transition of approved designs into development using agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe).
Your Profile:
- Extensive experience in solution architecture, business analysis, or related roles (typically 10+ years).
- Ability to design complex solutions involving multiple systems; familiarity with aviation or travel industry is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to simplify technical information for varied audiences.
- Experience in managing or contributing to large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Comfortable working in agile environments (knowledge of SAFe or similar frameworks preferred).
- Analytical mindset with an ability to identify dependencies and risks, and propose practical mitigation strategies.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
