About the role

The Enterprise Excellence Lead is responsible for designing, implementing and sustaining robust business processes, internal controls and continuous improvement frameworks across key business functions. The role drives operational excellence through process governance, audits, stakeholder alignment and capability building.

This role will also support in driving certain specific enterprise-wide projects reporting to the CEO and working with senior leadership as well as related stakeholders in achieving the desired outcomes. This role will support processes and projects in both chemical companies GCHEM as well as ASTEC.

This role will be housed in GCHEM while supporting the entire Chemicals platform.

Key responsibilities

- Build and deploy a DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) or similar effective framework across key business processes across both companies.
- Identify critical processes and workstreams requiring immediate implementation and governance.
- Design systems and mechanisms for effective implementation of approved processes and workflows.
- Design measures and metrics to assess effective working and utilization of the processes developed and implemented.
- Align stakeholders and drive adoption before process design and rollout.
- Prepare a system / calendar for audit of the process's / work streams (both for regular and surprise audits)
- Continuously review and improve processes in line with business changes and industry best practices.
- Support successful completion of control audits with internal and statutory auditors.
- Ensure training of employees and process owners on new processes, controls and workflows while driving a culture of operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Work with the CEO and senior leadership on key enterprise-wide projects of critical importance. Develop and maintain a dashboard on the progress of these projects till the outcomes are achieved.

Who are we looking for?

Education:

- Six Sigma Black Belt certification with a Degree in Chemical Engineering / CA / MBA / equivalent professional qualification

Experience:

- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Process Excellence, Internal Controls, Continuous Improvement, Audit & Governance

Skills
