Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-tobe-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

The Food division is proud to manage one of Informa Market’s most successful brand portfolios:  Food Ingredients Global  ( www.figlobal.com ).
We organize  10 global events annually , connecting buyers and sellers in the food industry from across the globe to do business both  in-person and online .

Our focus spans across diverse sectors, including  Manufacturers of Ingredients, Distributors, Consultants, Research, Academia, Retailers, and Technology .
The Food team operates from  Amsterdam (NL)  and  London (UK) , fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Role Overview

As a  Sales Executive  within the Food team, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of accounts, focusing on  client retention, revenue growth , and  new business development . Reporting to the  Head of Sales – Food Ingredients , you will work closely with clients at  C-level , ensuring their needs are met while driving commercial success.

This role is not just about sales; it’s about  building relationships ,  delivering exceptional service , and  creating value  for our clients. You will also collaborate with our  Digital Sales teams  to identify and maximize opportunities across our global offerings, including  events and sponsorships .

Key Responsibilities

- Be an ambassador  for the Food Ingredients brands, enhancing our market positioning.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Brand teams to  develop and implement sales strategies  for your segment.
- Proactively target and sell  to key clients via telephone and email, driving revenue and sqm growth.
- Identify and pursue  future business opportunities  to ensure continuous revenue growth.
- Build strong client relationships by  overcoming objections  and demonstrating the value of our products.
- Partner with Marketing to  grow the leads pipeline  and identify client needs.
- Conduct  day-to-day telesales  (minimum of 2 hours of outbound calls daily).
- Represent the brand by  visiting prospective clients  at competitive events.
- Maintain and update the  CRM system (Salesforce)  with accurate and timely information.
- Provide  detailed sales reporting  to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Stay informed about competitive events and online portals to  scope new leads .

- Demonstrated success in  delivering strong sales growth  and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience in  managing sales strategies, processes, and KPIs .
- Familiarity with  Salesforce or similar CRM systems , including lead pipeline management and dashboard reporting

- Strong  analytical thinking  and  decision-making  skills, with the ability to solve real-life problems.
- Excellent  interpersonal and influencing skills  to engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify  new product opportunities  and target markets to secure high-value business.
