In this position...

Ford Racing is looking for an experienced, talented, and highly motivated Powertrain Controls and Calibration Engineer to join our Global Motorsports department, based in Allen Park, Michigan. This position will consistent of multiple rotational job assignments over 24-36 months before concluding in a role within the calibration and controls group in the motorsports powertrain department.

This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in Allen Park, MI.

You'll have...

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Experience with simulation and coding in MATLAB & Simulink, development, testing, and validation of control system algorithms and calibrations.
- Must hold or be eligible for a passport. International and Domestic travel will be required.

- Possess a competitive spirt, can-do attitude, and interest in professional and amateur Motorsports at a technical level.
- Strong team player, ability to work with multiple suppliers, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibility.
- Detail oriented self-starter and problem solver.
- Experience with AVL Puma, AVL Concerto, AVL Indicom.
- Experience using Bosch Motorsport, Motec and Cosworth Hardware and Software.
- Experience with ATI Vision and Ford production powertrain control strategies.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, MATLAB, VBA, or an equivalent programming language.
- Formula SAE experience very highly preferred.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
