The team
You will work directly with the Global Head of Wholesale Banking in Amsterdam and be based on the board floor in Cedar alongside the other MBB Personal Assistants. You will be working closely with the Business Management team supporting the Head of Wholesale Banking, as well as senior stakeholders across Wholesale Banking and ING.
The environment is fast paced, global and highly visible. You will connect with senior leaders, their support teams, clients and colleagues across ING. Together, you help to ensure smooth coordination of a complex executive agenda, enabling leaders to stay focused on priorities and follow through on key commitments.
Roles and responsibilities
As Personal Assistant (PA), you take ownership of day-to-day executive support and anticipate what is needed before it becomes urgent. Your key responsibilities include:
- Own and proactively manage a complex global executive agenda, making informed prioritisation decisions, protecting focus time and balancing business priorities, stakeholder needs, travel requirements and preparation time. Anticipate conflicts, identify risks and proactively propose solutions.
- Coordinate internal meetings, leadership sessions, and events, ensuring agendas, participants, logistics and documents are ready well in advance.
- Support the planning and coordination of senior external engagements, including client meetings, conferences, regulatory engagements and other stakeholder interactions.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, directing requests effectively and handling sensitive matters with sound judgement.
- Organise business travel, accommodation and itineraries, including preparation and follow-up for country visits, conferences and key external engagements.
- Prepare, format and quality-check correspondence, presentations, briefing packs and other executive materials with the Business Management team.
- Monitor actions, deadlines and follow-ups, helping maintain momentum on key commitments.
- Coordinate selected office management and administrative activities, including onboarding, team events and facilities-related matters where required.
- Build strong relationships across the global Personal Assistants and Business Management network and create smooth handovers across time zones.

- You work effectively at pace, remain composed under pressure and respond to requests with urgency, sound judgement and discretion. You’ll succeed in the role if:
- 8+ years of experience as a Personal Assistant supporting senior executives in a complex, international environment.
- Exceptional planning and prioritisation skills, with the confidence to make informed diary decisions and adapt quickly.
- Clear and professional communication in English; Dutch is an advantage.
- You communicate with tact across cultures, seniority levels and time zones.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, clients, Personal Assistants and colleagues across a global organisation.Discretion, integrity and organisational sensitivity, with a proven ability to handle confidential and high-profile topics appropriately.
- A proactive, resilient and service-oriented mindset.

- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint, and curiosity to use digital tools to work smarter.
