Overview
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnered with a government contractor seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee the administration of federal contracts and related agreements. This role will support cradle-to-grave contract management and serve as a key business partner to leadership, program teams, finance, and legal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of government contracting regulations, contract administration best practices, and cross-functional collaboration in a compliance-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and NDAs
- Review solicitations, contract awards, modifications, and other contractual documents
- Provide guidance on contract interpretation, risk identification, and compliance requirements
- Support proposal review, negotiations, and contract execution activities
- Partner with finance and program teams to ensure alignment between contract terms and operational execution
- Maintain organized contract files and support internal reporting requirements
- Assist with audit requests, compliance reviews, and internal process improvements
- Monitor contractual obligations and ensure timely communication of key terms, deadlines, and risks
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related field
- 5+ years of contracts administration or contracts management experience in a GovCon environment
- Strong working knowledge of FAR and DCAA compliance requirements
- Experience supporting a range of federal contract types preferred
- Exposure to Deltek Costpoint or Unanet strongly preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across teams
