## Job Summary:

The Business Manager (BM) is responsible for managing the following departments: Document Control, Finance & Accounting, Project Controls, Human Resources, Procurement & Subcontract Management, Camp & Facilities and IS&T. The BM is responsible for the day-to-day operations of each of these departments and reports to the Project Manager. The BM advises the Construction Manager and Project Manager on all business matters and assists in the development of strategy and processes for implementation.

## Major Responsibilities:

- Provide oversight to all commercial activities to ensure relevant Governance (Bechtel, Enka and Others) is followed.
- Direct and provide functional oversight of: Document Control, Finance & Accounting, Project Controls, Human Resources, Procurement & Subcontract Management, Camp & Facilities and IS&T activities.
- Overseeing the effective implementation of Project Control systems (Bechtel, Enka and Others).
- Reviewing and recommending staffing needs for all the departments in his/her remit.
- Work with Project Operations teams to assess recovery and mitigation action and make recommendations.
- Coach and supervise project team members to maintain technical competence and consistency of administration within the project.
- Check that actions or lack thereof which may result in trends or contract changes are identified and make recommendations on their resolution.
- Coordinate studies of “business cases” to ensure proper commercial decisions are taken.
- Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of both corporate and agency information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction.

## Education and Experience Requirements:

- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and relevant work experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum  15 years’ experience in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industry

## Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Commercial & Contractual Leadership: Contract and subcontract formulation, administration, and negotiation. Commercial risk analysis and mitigation Change control, cost trending, and documentation governance Project Execution Plan (PEP) development and implementation
- Project & Financial Controls: Cost trend programs and integration with change management Financial and commercial management within EPC delivery models Knowledge of standard Project Controls tools, techniques, and procedures
- Cross‑Functional & JV Experience: Effective operation within Joint Ventures, Alliances, and Consortiums Strong interface management across Project Controls, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance Ability to manage relationships with project, functional, and executive stakeholders
- Operational Excellence: Records management and documentation control Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement Automation and advanced use of standard office tools
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven experience presenting analysis and recommendations to senior management Strategic and commercial leadership across multiple functional areas
