We are looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Austin, TX office.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of pipeline infrastructure projects. This role combines strong technical design expertise with project leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project execution from concept through construction. City of Austin project delivery experience is preferred.

The Impact Youll Make (Job Responsibilities)

- Lead the design and production of pipeline infrastructure projects.

- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.

- Perform pipeline design, alignment evaluations, hydraulic analyses, and utility coordination.

- Oversee design quality and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers.

- Serve as a deputy or junior project manager, supporting project planning, schedules, budgets, and client communications.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

- Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction-phase services.

- Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development and project pursuits.

Qualifications

The Expertise Youll Bring (Qualifications)

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.

- 15+ years of engineering design experience, with a strong focus on pipeline infrastructure projects.

- Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.

- Proven experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.

- Experience leading design production efforts and directing junior engineers and designers.

- Ability to support project management activities, including scope, schedule, and budget management.

- Strong understanding of engineering design standards and industry best practices.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
