About this opportunity

Are you an experienced power electronics engineer who enjoys combining circuit design, analysis and hands-on laboratory work?

Ericsson’s Power Design team in Lindholmen, Gothenburg, develops and maintains power solutions for Ericsson’s baseband products. As part of our global design organization, you will contribute throughout the product lifecycle—from early concept studies and requirements definition to detailed design, verification and product maintenance.

You will work with experienced colleagues in an international, multidisciplinary environment and help develop reliable, high-performance power solutions for future mobile networks.

What you will do
•    Design and develop power solutions for Ericsson baseband products.
•    Design and develop DC/DC converters, schematics and component selections.
•    Define requirements and contribute to concept studies and design reviews.
•    Perform design verification, troubleshooting and hands-on measurements in the laboratory.
•    Analyse results and propose improvements to product performance, quality and robustness.
•    Collaborate with digital, firmware, mechanical and thermal design teams.
•    Work with colleagues, suppliers and design partners across Ericsson’s global organization.
•    Explore and apply AI-assisted methods in power electronics design, verification, troubleshooting, data analysis and technical documentation.
•    Contribute to product maintenance and continuous improvement.

The skills you bring
Required qualifications
•    Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related field.
•    Several years of relevant experience in power electronics.
•    Experience with DC/DC converters and power distribution.
•    Practical experience with laboratory verification and electronic measurement equipment.
•    Good understanding of hardware design and how power solutions are integrated into complex products.
•    Experience using AI-assisted tools or methods in engineering, analysis, automation or technical documentation.
•    Strong interest in circuit design and hands-on problem solving.
•    Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Additional experience that is beneficial
•    Knowledge of simulation tools such as SIMPLIS, LTspice or PSpice.
•    Experience with scripting or calculation tools such as Python, MATLAB or Mathcad.

You are structured, analytical and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others. You communicate clearly, adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of delivering results.
