Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy

The project: We are supporting one of the UK's most significant and complex transport infrastructure programmes and are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our growing Commercial Management team.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a nationally significant rail programme, providing strategic commercial advice, assurance and insight across a multi-billion-pound portfolio of projects. You will help clients make informed commercial decisions, optimise programme outcomes and strengthen commercial performance across complex delivery environments.

Operating as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, you will lead the delivery of high-value commercial advisory commissions spanning commercial strategy, procurement, supply chain, contract management, commercial assurance and programme optimisation.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Championing safety, quality, sustainability and programme compliance.
- Managing complex commercial advisory assignments.
- Developing commercial, procurement and contract strategies.
- Strengthening commercial governance and programme performance.
- Providing independent insight on risk and change.
- Driving commercial improvement, efficiency and innovation.
- Mentoring and developing high-performing commercial teams.
- Growing commercial advisory capability across infrastructure sectors.

You’ll need to have :

- Extensive commercial advisory, commercial management or procurement experience within major rail infrastructure programmes.
- Demonstrable experience advising senior client organisations on commercial strategy, procurement, supply chain, contract management or commercial assurance.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and public-sector procurement environments.
- Significant experience operating within complex stakeholder environments and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Right to work in the UK.
- MRICS, FRICS or equivalent professional accreditation.
