PMO Planning Lead

The PMO Planning Lead will be responsible for leading the planning team in the development and management of the overall schedule management which considers all methodologies required to develop and manage the schedule including working and reporting calendars, resources, costs, interfaces, claims, risks, constraints and assumptions.

The role holder shall provide leadership in scheduling and resourcing throughout the delivery of AMP8, ensuring that the schedule management plan is being complied with across the project, including by the Project Delivery Partner and the appointed contractor(s).

You’ll be responsible for:

- Establishing performance measurement Baseline utilising Anglian Water coding structures which will support periodic updates and reporting consistent with contract and professional standards (e.g. EVM).
- Development of people, systems, tools and processes that provide exemplar governance and standards in Planning Management.
- Providing expert leadership in organisation, capability solutions across the Anglian Water portfolio.
- Serving as an SME and visible leader, providing direction and guidance with the Planning community and stakeholders.
- Implement the IPC Framework providing guidance, tailoring and support where required.
- Allocation of Planning resources, and providing support for recruitment, development and succession planning for Planning roles with the PDP.
- Performing additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.

You’ll need to have:

- APM PMQ or Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) - highly desirable
- 10+ years’ experience in schedule management and a proven track record of conducting schedule management activities in high value water projects or projects of a similar regulated environment and scale/complexity.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP Practitioner, or equivalent delivery framework experience
- Planning and Scheduling certifications, such as:
- APM Project Planning and Controls (PPC)
- PSP/PMI‑SP.
- NEC contract awareness (NEC3/NEC4), particularly compensation events and programme requirements.
