Inventory Technician/Material Handler
Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm
Pay: $24
Successfully performs all shipping, receiving, and inventory control tasks and associated ERP transactions; supports supply chain projects as requested. Performs ERP system transactions related to receiving, inventory movements, material issues, transfers, and goods receipts; using all available equipment including handheld scanners. Receives incoming materials and verify quantities, condition, and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips. Puts away all goods receipts into designated inventory locations in a timely and accurate manner. Pulls, kits, and stages materials for Shop Orders, Spare Parts orders, customer orders, production requirements, and stockroom order-picking activities. Owns replenishment of shop floor materials ensuring production runs uninterrupted. Crates instruments and packages spare parts and other products such as engineering samples; accurately completes all associated check sheets. Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently; performs all required pre-operation inspections of hoist and powered industrial trucks. Performs scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts and investigates inventory discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy. Maintains inventory integrity through accurate transaction processing, adherence to inventory control procedures, and keeping inventory secure. Stocks materials in designated locations and ensure proper identification and organization of inventory. Tracks and verifies inventory counts of received materials and reports discrepancies as required. Verifies return authorizations from Purchasing and prepares materials for return to vendors. Initiates actions to ensure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and stockroom environment. Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping & receiving, inventory control, and shipping.
