Position Summary

Perform the functions required to audit the quality of the products in-process and completed.

Reporting Status

The Floor Auditor reports to the Sewing Manager or Shift Supervisor as appropriate.

Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities

As floor auditor adhere to all safety, health, attendance, and code of conduct policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

The floor auditor will be required to perform, but not limited to, the following:

·       Review all job folders to ensure adequate completion of production records (sewing sheets, inspection sheets, special apparatus, etc.)

·       Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

·       Perform final review of finished tube to ensure compliance to order.

·       Complete C.O.C.’s for product being shipped as required.

·       Other duties as requested by supervisor.

·       Assist Production Scheduling, check and sign off on jobs.

·       Perform Process audits during production to ensure quality of the product.

§  Education and/or Experience:   High school diploma or GED.  Extensive knowledge (at least 2 years within the manufacturing operation) of, but not limited to, the various production operations (sewing, slitting, extrusion, coating, production scheduling) and products (Insitutube), lateral collars, starter ropes, molded ends, within manufacturing.

§  Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

§  Mathematical Skills:   Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to make simple machine set-ups using measuring instruments such as tape measure.

§  Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

§  Computer Skills:   Must be extremely efficient in the use of computer software and especially spreadsheets and databases. Ability to learn new applications quickly.

§  Work Environment:   Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.  Frequently works in high, precarious places.  Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  Must deal with propane flame tanks, scissors and hand tools.  Noise level is usually moderate.
